Chess Club

Ages 6-18

On August 2023, ACC Youth Business School successfully organized the first edition of the Free Chess Open Class, opening doors to wisdom for community teenagers.

Chess has been a keystone activity at the ACC ever since!

Growth through Strategic Thinking and Competition

Through intense matches, participants will not only hone their focus but also experience personal growth by strategizing and overcoming challenges on the chessboard.

Fun in Team Collaboration

Through engaging team collaboration activities, our chess club students experience the wisdom of strategic play on the chessboard, enhancing their teamwork and problemsolving skills.

Chess Club meets every Friday at the Asian Community Center, contact us to join!

Cognitive Development

Participation in a youth chess training program enhances cognitive skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning. Chess requires constant analysis and decision-making, fostering mental acuity and intellectual growth in children.

Discipline & Focus

Chess is a game that demands concentration and discipline. Through regular participation in a training program, children develop the ability to focus, maintain attention, and think ahead. These skills extend beyond the chessboard, positively impacting academic performance and daily tasks.

Social & Emotional Growth

Chess is not just about the game; it’s about sportsmanship, resilience, and social interaction. In a chess training program, children learn to handle wins and losses graciously, building emotional resilience. The collaborative and competitive aspects of chess contribute to the development of social skills and the ability to work within a community.
