Meet Our Founder Sabrina Lin
For many years, I lived within the community along Brooklyn’s Eighth Avenue and felt a noticeable absence. Despite the richness of diverse cultures and voices, there appeared to be a lack of a central meeting space, a lack of community center.
In that moment, an idea sparked: why not establish a place where people could learn, collaborate, and grow together? Thus, the Asian Community Center (ACC) a non-profit 501c3 community-based organization came to be.
From the community, for the community.
Since 2022, the ACC has rolled out various programs, encompassing mental health services, immigrant services, women empowerment, youth education and development, and senior services, addressing the diverse needs of our community. The goal was to ensure that everyone could find something of interest at the ACC and benefit from it.
The ACC functions like a large family, we not only provided services but also offere a space that feels like home. People from different backgrounds meet, interact, and understand each other here.

Inspiring Dreams
(2020-2021)
Founders sparked a shared vision by immersing in the community and listening to residents’ stories, envisioning a center for diverse cultural needs.
Planning and Prep
(2021-2022)
The team prepared by searching for a site, establishing partnerships, designing projects, and budgeting, ensuring ACC had a solid foundation.
Launch and Growth (2022-Present)
ACC officially launched, offering youth program, women empowerment programs, immigrant services, and cultural exchange. It became a hub for multicultural exchange, adapting to evolving community needs.
