The Lantern Festival Parade Review
On February 24th, the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon, the Lantern Festival, was celebrated in grandeur in Brooklyn, New York. Hosted by the United Association of Asian Community Organizations and co-hosted by ACC Asian Community Center, the American-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Brooklyn Asian Civic Ambulance Association, and the United Chinese Association of New York, with support from the Office of the Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, the Office of New York State Assemblyman Ron Kim, and the Office of New York City Council Member Wenyi Zhuang, the inaugural Brooklyn Lantern Festival Parade and celebration of the 45th anniversary of China-U.S. diplomatic relations were held.
